Science and Beer
Founders Alex Bergan and Greg Horning homebrewed together throughout grad school, pursuing Ph.D.s in oceanography at Woods Hole Oceanographic and MIT. Along the way, they learned nearly as much about brewing beer as they did about the oceans. But more importantly, they applied the rigors of science to the production of lagers and ales, knowing that experiments need to be carefully analyzed and repeated. Brewing is a science after all!
Brewed in Falmouth
The Aquatic taproom opened in November 2020 and has been astounded by the support it has received by the community! Aquatic Brewing promotes community through collaborations, events, and charity. Our Mission
With ties to environmental science, Aquatic Brewing is committed to sustainable practices. The brewery is powered through a community solar array. Although it takes water to brew beer and clean the brew equipment, Aquatic uses methods that reduce and recapture water.
